The genus Curcuma belongs to the ginger family, a family with (depending on the source) 52 to 53 genera, one of which, Curcuma, in turn has 131 species. Probably the best known today is Curcuma longa, from which curcumin is extracted.
The history of curcumin goes back over 5000 years. The dried roots of Curcuma longa (also called Indian turmeric) have been used not only as an ingredient in food, e.g. as a spice, but also in traditional Indian and Chinese medicine to treat various ailments.
CUREmin-ACTIF Plus® is the logical further development of CUREmin-ACTIF®. CUREmin-ACTIF Plus® does not contain artificial solubilizers to improve bioavailability. The extraction process of curcuminoids from Tumeric has been further improved. The 95% enriched curcuminoid extract has been recombined with the Tumeric base.
